Applebee's Rx for Edibles & Elixirs,® in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1983 the Palmers sell the Applebee's concept to W.R. Grace and Company. Then in 1986 the name is changed to Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. In 2000 Applebee's introduces a new menu and the number of Applebee restaurants climbs over 1,250. All the Applebee's stores employ approximately 28,000 employees company-wide.

Applebee's menu features great lunch and dinner choices including beef, chicken and pork items, as well as burgers, pasta and seafood, with a group of signature menu items found only at Applebee's. The Pick 'N Pair Lunch Combos are very popular for the busy lunchtime crowd, offering over 60 different combinations. For those of us that are wanting to eat healthy when we go out they include The Weight Watchers International, Inc. menu, it was launched in May of 2004 in nearly all Applebee's restaurants nationwide and continues to be successful today with a number of smart and tasty menu items listing their Weight Watcher's POINTS® values. This makes it very easy to go out and have a healthy meal and not cheat.
